Position: Children's Music Director

FLSA: Non-exempt

Objective/Purpose of Position: To direct the combined Children’s Chimes and Joyful Voices, Jr. choir for ages 4 - Grade 1. The combined ensemble is a preparatory choir and music class in which participants will sing, play simple instruments, learn basic music literacy and ear training skills, and enjoy movement activities in a fun and welcoming environment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead rehearsals from approximately 6:00 -7:00pm on Wednesday evenings
  • Direct the Children’s Chimes/Joyful Voices, Jr. when performing in Sunday worship (on selected dates throughout the music season.)
  • Other responsibilities as needed and directed by the Children's Ministry Director

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in music
  • 2+ Years experience working with children/teaching music
  • Commitment to developing the spiritual and musical lives of children
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team

Work Schedule:

  • September 2018 - May 2019
  • Weekly rehearsals, Wednesdays
  • Occasional Sunday mornings

Salary: Hourly (TBD)

position: Childcare Staff

Objective/Purpose of Position: To provide a welcoming, caring and safe environment for the children and families of Trinity United Methodist Church.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Welcome parents and children
  • Make sure each child and child's belongings have a name tag and label
  • Perform regular care activities with nursery children
  • Engage with the children at all times
  • Maintain a cleanly, sanitized environment
  • Other responsibilities as needed and directed by the Children's Ministry Director

Qualifications:

  • Previous childcare experience
  • Great people skills
  • Responsible
  • CPR certified (a new certification must be completed within 30 days of being hired)
  • Must be 14 years old

Work Schedule:

  • Varies (an average of 5-8 hours per month)
  • Childcare Staff is needed on Sunday mornings, weeknights and for special events

Salary: Hourly ($12.00)
