What is Fill A Backpack?

Fill A Backpack provides new backpacks and grade-appropriate school supplies to under-resourced children in metro Denver. A Precious Child is partnering with churches, businesses and organizations to send over 15,000 children back to school empowered for success.

The Need:

Over 166,000 children in Colorado live in poverty. Children in poverty often lack the necessary supplies critical to academic achievement. Ensuring that children have the necessary supplies to participate in school can reduce truancy, promote learning and build positive self-esteem.

The Goal:

A Precious Child hopes to provide more than 15,000 children living in eight Denver Metro counties including: Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas, Jefferson and Weld Counties, with backpacks filled with grade-appropriate school supplies, so they feel empowered in school.

How can you help?

About Trinity Missions:

The work of the Trinity congregation and the Mission Committee reaches out to the hungry, homeless, persecuted and oppressed. Our work continues to offer education and opportunity where there might have been none. It starts right here at home in our Denver communities and reaches around the globe through work in Guatemala, Liberia and nations across the globe.

The Trinity Mission Committee would like to personally invite you to join our good works here in our local communities and beyond. We offer many great opportunities driven by the passions of our Methodist brethren who are delivering on their commitment to service by making our mission work come alive in our congregation. We hope you will find something that drives your passion.

"Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can." - John Wesley
