Rev. Dr. Janet Forbes, UMC REtired Clergy

Rev. Dr. Janet Forbes has consulted with Trinity since last October in the Appreciative Inquiry interview process in preparation for the pastoral transition. She retired in 2016 after twelve years as the senior minister of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Highlands Ranch, CO and has also served congregations in Cheyenne, WY, Grand Junction and Colorado Springs, CO, and Nashville, TN. She continues to coach clergy in conflicted settings. Dr. Forbes earned a Master of Arts in Christian Education from Scarritt Graduate School, a Master of Divinity from Vanderbilt University, and a Doctor of Ministry in Church Leadership in the 21st Century from Drew Univeristy in Madison, NJ. She is married to Bob Davis, a structural engineer. She enjoys hiking, snow-shoeing, gardening, and fishing. Janet and Bob are planning their RV pilgrimage to the National Parks of Canada and the United States.

REv. Keith Watson, UMC REtired Clergy

A native of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, Keith E. Watson, received a B.A. cum laude from the University of Colorado and his M. Div. from Union Theological Seminary in New York City. A member of the Rocky Mountain Conference for his entire career, after two years in campus ministry at the State University of New York in Geneseo, Keith served as Associate Pastor at St. Andrew UMC, and then as solo pastor at First UMC in Limon, and senior pastorates at Christ UMC in Sterling, First UMC in Longmont, First UMC in Glenwood Springs, and Wilson UMC in Colorado Springs. He also served as the District Superintendent for the Wyoming and Northeast Colorado District. He has served as the chair of the Rocky Mountain Board of Ordained Ministry, on the Conference Board of Pensions, the Board of Discipleship, and other conference groups. He was a faculty member for the Conference Licensing School, and has taught classes for the United Methodist Women Schools of Mission. He retired in 2009, but continued to serve as the President of the Rocky Mountain United Methodist Foundation, and accepted two short-term interim appointments at Berthoud UMC and Green Mountain UMC in Lakewood.

Reverend Watson presently lives in Longmont, CO, sings in the chancel choir and chairs the Endowment Committee at the Heart of Longmont UMC, sings in the Longs Peak Chorus (barbershop), and enjoys playing pickle ball, and occasional fly fishing. Keith and his wife, Mary Ann (pictured), have two married daughters and three grandchildren in Loveland, Colorado and three more in Brentwood, Tennessee.

A native of Louisiana, Rev. Mount has a varied background: graduate studies in Meteorology at University of Washington, Chemical Engineering at Tulane University, and Theology at Duke Divinity School. He has served as a meteorologist in the USAF in Vietnam and Germany, with Shell Development Corporation as an engineer, and 46 years in United Methodist ministry as a missionary in the English-speaking congregation in Brussels, Belgium; and pastorates in Lake Charles and Amite, Louisiana; at First United Methodist Church in Colorado Springs; Park City Community Church, Utah; and Trinity United Methodist Church in Denver from 1997-2006. Since retirement he has served as interim minister at Sandy, Utah, Boulder, and Denver. He and his wife, India, live in Glenwood Springs. They enjoy grandchildren, community and church activities, travel to foreign countries, and the beauty of Colorado.
