REv. Keith Watson, UMC REtired Clergy

A native of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, Keith E. Watson, received a B.A. cum laude from the University of Colorado and his M. Div. from Union Theological Seminary in New York City. A member of the Rocky Mountain Conference for his entire career, after two years in campus ministry at the State University of New York in Geneseo, Keith served as Associate Pastor at St. Andrew UMC, and then as solo pastor at First UMC in Limon, and senior pastorates at Christ UMC in Sterling, First UMC in Longmont, First UMC in Glenwood Springs, and Wilson UMC in Colorado Springs. He also served as the District Superintendent for the Wyoming and Northeast Colorado District. He has served as the chair of the Rocky Mountain Board of Ordained Ministry, on the Conference Board of Pensions, the Board of Discipleship, and other conference groups. He was a faculty member for the Conference Licensing School, and has taught classes for the United Methodist Women Schools of Mission. He retired in 2009, but continued to serve as the President of the Rocky Mountain United Methodist Foundation, and accepted two short-term interim appointments at Berthoud UMC and Green Mountain UMC in Lakewood.

Reverend Watson presently lives in Longmont, CO, sings in the chancel choir and chairs the Endowment Committee at the Heart of Longmont UMC, sings in the Longs Peak Chorus (barbershop), and enjoys playing pickle ball, and occasional fly fishing. Keith and his wife, Mary Ann (pictured), have two married daughters and three grandchildren in Loveland, Colorado and three more in Brentwood, Tennessee.
