Emergency Procedures at Trinity

Safety is a top priority for our church community, and in the spirit of preparedness, we have updated our emergency procedures for 2025 to ensure the well-being of everyone who gathers in our building. While we hope to never encounter an emergency, having a clear and updated plan in place can make all the difference in keeping everyone safe.

Please take time to familiarize yourself with our emergency procedures and evacuation maps which can be found here. Knowing what to do in an emergency is essential for your safety and the safety of others. Here are some key points to remember:

  1. Emergency Exits and Assistance: If you require assistance exiting the building during an emergency, please be aware that the elevator will not be operational. Familiarize yourself with the emergency exit points where first responders will be available to help you safely exit.
  2. Children's Evacuation Plan: Parents, please note that in an emergency, you do not need to retrieve your children. Our trained staff will escort children to safety. This plan ensures that everyone remains as safe and calm as possible.
  3. Know Your Closest Exit: Whether you are a regular attendee or a visitor, make it a habit to identify the closest emergency exit and evacuation point from your seat. Knowing your route can save critical time during an emergency.
  4. Review Procedures Regularly: While we will not conduct formal drills, we encourage everyone to review these procedures at least once a quarter. Preparedness is a shared responsibility, and staying informed is an important step.

In addition to our internal procedures, we encourage you to utilize external resources such as Reverse 911. By registering for Reverse 911 notifications from the City of Denver, you can receive timely alerts regarding emergencies in our area. For more information about Reverse 911 visit Emergency 9-1-1 Communications - City and County of Denver.

The safety of our church family is a shared commitment, and by taking these steps, we can work together to create a safe environment for worship and fellowship.

Thank you for your attention and cooperation in maintaining a safe environment at Trinity.
