Beloved Community Village is an innovative housing solution using tiny houses. It's a community created by and with Denver neighbors who were formerly without stable housing. The Village was initiated by Colorado Village Collaborative in July 2017.
After 16 months in the current location, The Village is being relocated to a new property. The Village's twelve residents will be without access to their tiny homes for two weeks while the homes are moved to the new location. This Sunday, a Giving Tree will be set up in the Sanctuary to help The Village residents afford housing during the two-week transition. Please consider how you can support this amazing work!
Please consider making a donation to UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) as they direct relief efforts to those impacted by the wildfires throughout the state of California. Read more about the efforts here and make an online donation.
This year we invite you to celebrate the joy of generosity as you offer your Stewardship of Life Card for 2019. We encourage you to experience the joy that comes from knowing our gifts honor God and change lives. With these gifts, we invest in God’s vision and purpose, and create an opportunity for God to work through us. Our gifts to God are an act of worship, and our offerings are vital to the church’s work of impacting lives and transforming communities.
More Than Enough is the harvest image we are invoking during a season we underscore gratitude for generosity. It is an image I believe can change our thinking about the values, ideals and understanding centered in the practice of generosity. To the degree that we all struggle with a desire for more, imagine your life free of stress and anxiety about your finances. Imagine making choices with the thought in mind, “I have more than enough.”
