2024 Fall Sunday School classes
Seeking to deepen your faith and build connections? Every Sunday at Trinity, we host Sunday School classes for all ages between worship services. These sessions are designed to help you learn, strengthen your faith, and connect with others in our community. We encourage you to discover and join one of our Sunday School classes this fall!
ADULT CLASSES:
Discussions on the Bible (9:30am)
In this class we read a portion of scripture and share and ponder each other's views. The leader and possibly others share insights from Bible scholars. This fall we will be reading and discussing the Gospel of Luke.
Leader: Mary Beth Nagle: mb17nagle@gmail.com
Location: Room 118 (conference room)
Start Date: September 8, 2024
Living the Word (9:30am)
Everyone is invited to come to examine scripture lessons which dissect the major themes of the Bible and the passage serving as the basis of that Sunday's sermon. Dave Sanger and Bob Culwell facilitate discussion for those who enjoy exploring and discussing the scriptures that govern our lives.
Leaders: Dave Sanger: dsanger401@gmail.com
Bob Culwell: bob.culwell@state.co.us
Location: Room 113 and on Zoom
Start Date: Ongoing
New Beginnings (9:45am)
The New Beginnings class was recently formed to provide a fresh space for people to gather and build community in the post-pandemic era. Our hope is to come together in the spirit of Romans 15:7 ("Welcome one another, therefore, as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.") and Trinity's commitment to becoming a radically welcoming congregation. Our intent is to embrace and value all of God's people, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion/culture, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, marital status, ability, political affiliation, or other life experience.
Leader: Bonnie Dodd-Bensen: doddbeny@comcast.net
Location: Room 112
Start Date: September 8, 2024
Transitionals Class (9:30am)
The Transitionals class is an adult education community that seeks to understand the Christian life throughout the transitions of life, culture, history, and current events. Class topics are guided by the questions: What does it mean to be Christian now? What can I learn from the Christian community at large? How do we understand our spiritual and religious selves? What does it mean to apply scripture to everyday living? What does it mean to be a Methodist?
Leader: Wesley Jones: wjcj@att.net
Location: Heritage Room (Level 3) and on Zoom
Start Date: August 25, 2024
